Dar Al Almal
Residence Dar Al Amal reinterprets tropical urban living through an architecture designed to dissolve the boundary between indoor and outdoor spaces. Conceived as a vertical ecosystem, the project combines suspended gardens, deep terraces, and overlapping volumes to create a continuous dialogue between nature, light, and contemporary living. Large openings extend the interiors toward generous outdoor spaces conceived as true open-air rooms. More than simple balconies, the terraces become transition spaces where climate, landscape, and domestic life merge into a fluid spatial experience.
Shading systems, integrated vegetation, and natural materials work together to filter light, promote natural ventilation, and generate a more comfortable microclimate adapted to the tropical context of Dakar. The architecture alternates between mineral surfaces and lush vegetation, balancing solidity and openness while lightening the perception of the built mass. On the roof, the rooftop garden transforms the skyline into a habitable landscape suspended over the city.
Residence Dar Al Amal proposes a new way of living: immersive, open, climate-responsive, and deeply connected to nature.
